Then up at the Daily Cabal is a new short short, Little Bird, by Jason Fischer. I'm generally not fond stories with devolved English but I make an exception for this one. It's clever, it works and it's free.

Thanks Helen, and I'm glad you liked it! Didn't know if people would like the devolved language, but it seemed worth the gamble :-)
The reason I don't usually like it is because writers tend to over complicate things. My reading is slowed as I decipher it and I get thrown out of the story. You got the balance right and held my interest to the end. BTW that's a very clever ending. Never saw it coming.
